The CFA is considering allowing registation of the Pixie as part of the American Bob it already recognizes, pixie people want it recognized as a specific breed, not a variation.
PIxies are VERY dog like, they follow you around and want to be in your lap ALL the time. My first, Mathyus, raised my Pug, Frank and was his best friend. The two of them would have me laughing so hard when they would chase each other thrugh the house and wrestle. |

I think cshellenberger posted a link about the Pixie bob earlier and it said that they did DNA testing wich failed to prove the Pixie bob is in any way related to the bobcat. *shrugs* It still looks like one and I've always liked the wilder looking cats, hence the Ocicat is by far my most favorite cat in the world.
By the way you cat is gorgeous. She's a Blue Point right? | No, Lily is a lilac point Oh, ok, see how much I know about TICA cats that arent in CFA Quote:

I figured out that I have a cat thats like a dog and I want a dog that acts like a cat! Since I want a greyhound! My friend Kat has a min pin dog and Lily will chase the dog around the house and play tag!
Today at the cat show Lily didnt do to well, she didnt get any ribbons but at the end of the show I took her outside on her leash in the nice warm sun. She LOVED it! and so did I, it calmed us down from the stress and tiredness of the show, and we went home happy and relaxed instead of mad, sad and super tired.
Newbee on the other hand (Kat's cat) did very well for her first show! She got 4 ribbons that came with 4 wand!......I'm jealous ! But we still have tommorow with 4 more rings to go!! |

| Re: Cat Show!! Well I have some good news about the end results of this cat show! Lily got one ribbon in the very last ring of the show, she got 2nd best shorthair Premier with a total of 6 points! So now she has a total of 42 points and needs 33 points to be a Grand. Here are some pictures from the show: |

| Re: Cat Show!! Aww that's exciting! Premier is for fixed cats right? So there would be a champion for the cats that aren't fixed and then premier for the cats the are? Or am I just totally off, haha. |

It has to compete in the Premiership ring and earn the title just like a champion has to.
I love showing cats! Its so much easier than showing dogs |

I love showing cats! Its so much easier than showing dogs | I have a ragdoll that my breeder has been trying to convince me to show.... but really the last thing I need is another pet to show. I find cat shows incredibly confusing..... I think I almost have it figured out but yeesh... dog shows are so much easier to understand.....
I think Janet is just going to continue to be a house pet..... |

I think Janet is just going to continue to be a house pet..... | Yeah I guess your right about that the scoring is way harder at cat shows than dog shows. The easy thing about cat show is you have a little cat and you bring either your own cage or sheets to cover a provided cage. Then you keep your cat in the cage unless you are called up to a ring over the PA system. Then the cat goes in the ring, the judge looks at it, cat goes back to its own cage and you wait to see if you made the finals. Its really exciting!
The scoring I was taught how to do. Only for the scoring in the catalogs though, and when it comes to finals I can do that too but when it comes to regional scoring, distingished merits and national scoring I dont know what to do but thats ok because I dont need to figure out how. |

| Re: Cat Show!! Aww, you posted some of your pics? I guess it's my turn, then. =P Cute Tonkinese sitting on Sillylilykitty's lap. =) She was such a luv-bug. <3 My household kitty, in her last ring of the entire show. She placed second here, out of five cats. She really didn't like showing, so we're not taking her again. =< Me taking my kitty to her last ring. What an expression! I didn't realize she was glaring at Sillylilykitty so much...^_^' Silly Lily sitting on a pillow. =D |

XD I can't believe I forgot it, since she's a Lily, too. <3
I think I'll definately go for one of Valorie's cats when I go looking for a Tonk. Which I'm certain I will, since they seem to be such sweethearts. <3 |

Valorie is great and her Tonks are soo sweet! Yes I want to show but lets face it, I cant handle a $1000 top cat! I mean if I had a potential top cat I couldnt do much, I would show in CO and no where else, a waste of an awsome cat. I want a cat that is very sweet and affectionate and can earn some ribbons too (in other words doesnt hiss at the judge). Not necessarily best cat in premiership, anything in the top 10 would be great, including 10th best! |
