This is an experimental cross-post from another (non-dog) forum I participate in. A friend in New Mexico makes these "Beasties" from paper-mache.

I am VERY happy to announce that Spike and Burnie have arrived safely at their new home today. They are tired from their journey, but in very good health and spirits, largely thanks to Hanna's expert packaging. They are a bit dismayed at the cold temperatures here, but we will keep them warm and safe from curious canines.
Spike is for my daughter. She loves purple unicorns and, oddly enough, they are not that easy to find. Coincidentally, she got a raise and promotion today for a job she started a month ago, so Spike will be a nice surprise when she gets home.
Burnie is for me. I have always loved dragons, but Burnie is the most loveable dragon yet. Every time I glance at him, I smile.
