Fun with Mortimer...NOT!

Well, Mort has tape worms. How do I know? Well, I saw some. And he has been eating me out of house and home...this the cat who, a month ago was eating a small can of wet food and barely 1/3 of a cup of dry each day. (He was 16# at one time). The other day, I calculate that he ate his wet food the night before and in a 24 hr period at nearly 1 C of food!!!

Anyway, as most of you know, giving cats pills can be interesting and fun. I managed to get one of the "horse pills" in him last night (I roll him up like a burrito and sit on him) and the 1/2 of one this morning.

After all of this, he may never speak to me again...oh wait, he now loves wet food and can't wait for it in evening.

lol. giving cats their meds is the worst ever. we had to swaddle our 15lb. cat in a towel in order to give him his antibiotics after he had his eye removed. we had to give it too him for about 2 weeks twice a day...no fun. now he absolutely hates towels. lol. but it was the only way we could give him his meds without getting shred to pieces!!

I absolutely HATE giving him meds. Even the liquid stuff can be a challenge but it is easier than pills.

And I was right, he was looking out the window when I walked up the sidewalk and pestered me until he got his canned food.

And meandean, when he saw the towel on the bed this a.m. he was not very cooperative! He hates towels too. The dogs trying to say good morning to him didn't help either!
