| Re: My Zoo. (18 pets.) That's quite a zoo you have there! Do all the gecko's live in the same tank/cage. I know next to nothing about lizards or lizard-type animals... |

| Re: My Zoo. (18 pets.) That's so cool! I know next to nothing about most of the animals you have, but still very cool!
I thought we had a lot, but compared to you we don't even have a little pet store...
Bridgette: 2 1/2 year old pit/dalmtion mix
Bagheera: 1 year old DSH cat
Luna: 6 month old Abyssinian cat
Seamus: gerbil (unknown age)
Mr. Longbottom: Beta fish
I did have a guinea pig, but Hedwig passed away the end of last year. It was heartbreaking for me as I had had her for about 6 years (and heard they only live for 2!!) |

Yeah definate zoo..I could probably charge admission
The geckos live seperately, they're solitary reptiles and like their space and will fight (especially males.) Some lizards get along fine in groups, these guys not so much, it varies from specie to specie. I do have one pair kept together, my breeding pair, Argo and Lexie and they do marvelously. They've been together since about 3 months old though, so They're totally bonded and seem to even "cuddle".
All the others live seperately. When Joona and Loona were young they were together (hatchmates) but when they got older Joona started dominating Loona and that was the end of that. I knew it would happen eventually.
Gecko tanks fill my room completely, but that's okay |

I have no idea what actual breed they are, but they're the black and white cows. They milk them twice a day and I just LOVE helping out when I am there. We have to get up at 4:45am, but it's so worth it! We get to round up the whole herd and bring them all in and have to look at all their tails to determine how much 'cake' (just cow feed, but it's called cake) they get. It's really interesting! They have A LOT though and A LOT of land...it's a big farm. |

ducks ,chickens and geese | That's awesome!! We have a "5 year plan" in place so we can move out of this house (and our measly 1 acre) and get 50+ acres in SC or TN. We want to have lots of animals...some will be raised for food for ourselves and our dogs...most will be pets.
Our current zoo:
13 greyhounds
1 staghound
2 cats
2 bunnies
1 Quarter Horse |
