I have a stray cat, Fred, who has had major diarrhea for about a month. I tried everything I know of to stop it. Nothing worked. I made a vet appointment to have him tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV. I thought if he had either one, maybe that was why he had such persistent diarrhea. I have 2 other cats that I've kept him separated from because I was worried about Fred having diseases. I am soooo relieved to say that he tested negative for both.

His appointment wasn't till 4:30 p.m. and I was a nervous wreak the entire day!!! Because if he had either I was going to have to have him put to sleep to protect my other cats. He also tested negative for parasites and worms. The vet said that sometimes when the diarrhea starts; it can get difficult to stop. He gave me medicine for him that should clear it up.
However, he said that if it didn't, Fred would have to have more tests. He said that it also could be colitis or colon cancer. But I'm not going to worry about that until the time comes.
I just wanted to share the great news about Fred.... Here is his picture...
