| Re: Kitty Mau Mau I didn't mean to get him a pink tag...I thought I ordered him a red one...guess I'm color blind! As for the tile, I think it's the original tile...the house was built in the mid '50's! I'm not crazy about the color but I rent so I'm ok with it.
And thanks...I think he's cute too...he's a moose tho @ 15.5#. |

Is he bigger than any of your dogs? Mr. Biscuit is probably near that size too, he's bigger than two of the dogs...

Here's Kiki, hoping against hope that we'll open this can of Tuna--but it isn't going to happen. She's really glad that people on the forum remembered there's cats out there too. |

| Re: Kitty Mau Mau Ok, I'll play! Only because I have a new found appreciation for the cat.
This is Sabbath. He's my daughters first kitten. I swore (swore!) I'd never own a cat again after losing my Bella when my daughter was just an infant. We adopted Sabbath at 7 weeks old from a local rescue back in April of this year. It was quite odd how fast it all happened. I was in no way, shape or formed excited about having a cat in the house. I shamefully convinced my daughter, after a week of having the kitten, that maybe a cat was too much work and we should return him to the adoption agency. I'll admit that I had selfish, ulterior motives. I had recently bought a conure and I was worried the cat would eventually get it. We brought him back to Petsmart and left him with the adoption people who said he'd have NO problem finding a home. The next day my daughter had incredible remorse, and so did I. We rushed to Petsmart, I was practically in tears thinking how upset she'd be if he was gone already, or if they refused to give him back etc. He was there and they understood our second thoughts and we promised to love him forever. Then I rehomed the bird.
Long story, sorry. But my daughter, loves, loves, loves this cat more than anything. He stays inside, in her room usually.
Yesterday was such a beautiful morning so I opened the window in my daughters room before school. Later that afternoon, at about noon'ish, I looked out the front door and noticed that unmistakable tail off to the side, near my flowerbed but directly by the door. I opened the door and it skidaddled. My heart sank and I bent down and said "Sabbath, is that you?" and he ran right over to me from beneath a bush. He must have saw something on her window screen and pushed hard enough that the screen popped out. I was SO,SO thankful that he just stayed on the porch. OMG'sh anything could have happened to him and he doesn't wear tags. My daughter would have died, then killed me, then died again.
So, of course I had to run out to wally world and buy him a crinkly play tunnel to show my appreciation of him being SUCH a good boy. He really is a sweetheart.
Anyway, here's Sabbath with Rosco, sharing the dog food..

| Re: Kitty Mau Mau i just realized thats the only picture of your dog i've ever seen besides your avatar!
I'm glad they gave him back to you guys!
Yeah....black kitties outside....bad news.... Twitchy Cat went through a phase of "breaking out" before he was fixed, where he would rush the door, or walk out it nonchalantly with the pack of dogs (lol) unnoticed (hes doggy sized)i can imagine him thinking "act like a dog, act like a dog, she wont see you"
once outside he'd panic and hide under the car....One time he ran into a tree...like he didn't see it.
Cold day, me in my jammies...fishing a cat out from under the car....yeah....
My SO would kill me for posting this, but yeah, Twitchy Cat is Camo'd on his shirt.

| Re: Kitty Mau Mau I'm glad they gave him back, too. My daughter cried and cried once she got him back in her arms. The adoption people weren't there but I called the number on his card and she had the manager get him out for us. He gave us such weird looks! lol.
Hiding under the car would have been horrible because my garage WAS open at the time and I was JUST about to leave. Had I not looked out the door before I shut it...whew. He definitely had kitty cat angels looking out for him yesterday!
lol@ that pic. That's too cute. |

No black kitties??! shame on you!! | Yeah, Sammy's great. He's just the best all-around cat. Friendly to everybody, well-behaved, etc. Half of his siblings were solid black, but I had to have HIM. He was the cutest little puffball at the Humane Society, still wet from his bath. There were 7 kittens in the litter, so the staff named them after the 7 Dwarves.....Sammy was "Happy" . All longhaired, 4 were black and white, 3 were solid black. All were adopted within a day . I wish I had gotten his sister, too.....oh well.
Bitsy is almost black.....which is why no pictures of her ever turn out . No, really she's a very dark tortoiseshell. Mostly black with a little orange mottled in. I really have to work on getting some decent pics of her. |

A fun one of all five of the felines in my household...and their mommy...
Left to right: Latifah, Kiira, Sable, and Killian. Martha Mae is the b\w one on my shoulder...she was grumbling and griping because she "had" to be so close to all the others...she's our crabby pants kitty!
Martha says "I'm gonna chew your ear off mom..." I just told her she didn't "have" to stay there...
