Kitty Cribzzzz

Well they're all set.. KittyTown is finished.

Well to the North we have the rec center and the guest house. The guest house isnt much, but at least its a place to lay your tired head.

Then to the west we have Mittens and Toby's houses. Toby's is red and Mittens' is blue. The had the option of having the builder put more space in between them, but Toby thought that would put him too close to the rec center, and he just didnt want to deal with all the traffic by his house.

Then to the South, they have the beach. Surfs Up! They like going to the beach, as it is only a few steps from both houses. They dont like the fact that if they are at the rec center, they have to pass their houses to get to the beach.. but it works for when Mittens forgets his bathing suit, which he does all too often.

And then to the southeast we have the all you can eat kibble buffet, as well as the executive restrooms.

The guest house is the laundry basket. The rec center is the red/blue/yellow thing. But yeah, they love those!

My cats sure would love that room. I just dont have the room for anything like that so they have to settle for the rafters in the basement. LOL

They love it in there. They can eat in peace, and they have their litterbox in there and the dogs cant get to it. I work with the dogs with the baby gate down and let them in sometimes but make sure they behave.

I dont want what happened with Miss Kitty to happen again. Chance loves the other two cats, to the point of licking them (I hope he isnt tasting them) and they rub all over him.

I want to make sure that the cats dont use that room as a place to "escape" from the dogs, and I want the dogs to know that room isnt "off limits" but they need to behave. So far its working well.

Yup. all of it. And the kiddie pool works AMAZING! When I change the litter I dump the kiddie pool right into the litterbox

Another fun litter pan idea is an extra large plastic tote...I'll try to remember to take a pic of mine, it works great; less litter tracking, and no one can dig litter up and out the sides...tehehe

Re: Kitty Cribzzzz

We have our 3rd bedroom set up as the cat room. The litterboxes are all in there. We have 4...but we don't feed the cats in there, they get fed on our dining room table and even then when we go out, sometimes their bowls end up on the floor!

Our cat room is for the cats only...no dogs allowed and it's open just enough for them to get in and out. This way they have their privacy to do their business.

A couple of them sleep in there as well.

In our old house we had one of those rec center things but there's no room for it in this house so it's in the garage.

haha I love my kiddy pool. It was like 3 dollars at the grocery store or walmart or something, and when its hot out I take it outside and play with the dogs and water! Its DOUBLE EFFICIANT!

My dogs dont ever go in there. I have a baby gate thats nice and high and just high enough for the cats to get under it. The dogs were allowed in there to sniff and such, but only so they wouldnt obsess over it. They really do respect that room as the cats. I used to have a problem with kody jumping the baby gate and lifting his leg and peeing into the litter box believe it or not. But now he knows to stay out.
