When he does calm down, then go spend some good quality time with him. Be careful not to let him rub on you, or otherwise 'dominate you' in anyway...becuase he is still a stallion this is super important, because you don't want him to think he can strike you, chase you, or even mount you...
Once he is gelded, you will probably not notice too much difference in his attitude and behavior, because it doesn't sound like he has really matured yet. You'll still want to keep him seperated for a good while after he is gelded as well; not only just to heal, but because it takes awhile for everything to make the 'change', and dissapate out of his system.
