| My Cute New Hamster, Delorus.... This is my cute hamster, Delorus. I got Delorus just yesterday as one of my Christmas Presents. She's soooooo cute. Yesterday, she peed on my head. but she was a hamster, what can I say? Well, here she is......
Oh!!! Forgot something. My sis calls her "Bijou" like my old hamster that died, so don't think that's the real Bijou. When my sis took this picture, she named it Bijou. Okay, that's it.

| Cute Hamster. Is it a Dwarf Hamster? I have two of those: Bonnie and Clyde. (Even though one is named Clyde, I think they are both females. lol) My friend brought them into school, but then she didn't want them anymore so I started taking care of them. They are very friendly and it is so cute when they twitch their nose! My friend Brittany wanted to see how many sunflower seeds they could stuff in their mouth and I think Clyde got it up to 13. ROFL |

Clyde did give me a scare the other day because he was starting to loose weight as well as hair, but I switched his bedding to a different kind, and he's slowly gaining weight again and his hair is coming back. Bonnie is still as rolly polly as ever.
Lola and Freddie (my siblings hamsters) are both a little over a year, and they are still going strong too.
I'm sure if you take good care of your Hammie that she'll have a better chance of living past two. |

| As a teenager, I had a normal size brown/white hamster named Peanuts (male). He was the smartest little thing and very tame - never bit. I'd carry him in my pocket or take him outside and sit him in the clover patch and he'd stuff his little face - never tried to run (I do NOT recommend you do this!).
My sister had a female and she was really nasty - she'd bite you if she could. After Peanuts died I never got another cause I knew there would not be as tame/smart of a hamster BTW hamsters can live to 3-4 yrs old. I know that Peanuts was at least 3 yrs old when he died. |
