Les Ours ( the bears)

Borzoimom... 22! Holy crap!
Here I am complaining about the 2 families (momma and 2 cubs each) in our field.
Last year we had a younger cub (previous year) hanging around very close near hunting season. I swear all animals wild or other wise know to come around our house as we will shelter them from whatever.
A few people had stopped for permission to shoot Winbea (that was its name) for us I said no... figuring he/she would move on eventually... perhaps she is one of the mommas this year with the cubs now

Re: Les Ours ( the bears)

are you ready to be bombed with pictures??? lol...

btw- do you know how to tell a female bear from a male? lol.. We do now.. lol..

females stake out a place. Do not migrate as much as males but wont leave until the cubs hit the first winter..

Re: Les Ours ( the bears)

Oh I'm ready... hit me with pics. I love to look at bears, but honestly am not that fond of them being in "my yard" (which truely was theirs first but hey... I'm willing to share so long as they are respectful and refrain from mauling the dogs or us)
We do a nightly quad run in the field just to keep them back towards the bushes more, seems to be working the past few years. This year we may incorporate a new noise along with that so they dont get too comfortable with it.

Re: Les Ours ( the bears)

Bears that get used to being around humans are far more dangerous than running into one in the wild.
