So, yeah, who has one, two, three, four, a million of these lil' boogers?

I have one. Her name is Baby. She's surely a laugh..

Re: Suagr Glider's?..

All I know is that I can smell the Sugar Glider cage at the zoo from 20 feet away....I hear it's the males that smell like that. I also know that they need a lots of fresh fruits and veggies, and bugs, they can't just eat kibble. I researched them once and decided I wasn't dedicated enough to have them. They take a lot of work! Sure are cute, though.

Yep, they're probably more work than dogs.

Really, they're not meant to be pets. And really not meant to be alone...are you going to get Baby a friend? I have rats and they are the same way, they can't live by themselves, only with gliders it's WAY worse than rats.

Re: Suagr Glider's?..

Jesirose: Hii. My Moms friend breeds Sugar Gliders. That's where we got her from, and we got her brother at the time we got her [[One year ago]] and they didn't get along when they hit the age of 5 months, so we gave the Male back to the breeder, and since then she can't get along with other Glider's. She likes to be with a person wayy more, and we spend much time with her.
Well, They're very popular pets, actually.
And yeah, they kinda are harder to take care for than a dog.

Willowy: I don't think they have the same kind/breed of Sugar Glider at the zoo, as people have kept as pets.

Yep, sometimes you get a weird one that is anti-social I know they have become very popular recently but I think so many people rush into getting them (not you) without realizing they are not a hamster or cat.

Nah, they're the same. They even say on the cage that they're the same kinds that people keep as pets. And I've smelled the Sugar Glider cage at the pet store, too. Now, pet stores and zoos might not keep it as clean as your average pet owner, so that might account for the extra odor, but I've also heard from people who keep them as pets that the males do smell very strongly, and especially unneutered males.

They are wild animals, not domesticated like ferrets, and so they do need very dedicated owners. The local Humane Society gets them in fairly regularly, because thre are too many people who get one, but aren't dedicated enough.

Hm, I didn't know they were the same kind at the zoo. I haven't even seen one at the zoo. :P It's been like.. 3 years since I went last. lol.
But, yes, we keep our girl pretty clean. She does have a nasty smell if you forget to clean up.
