| Cats Yes, I know this is kind of ironic to have on a dog forum. Well, I have one cat, and her name is Cleo. She gets along pretty well with the dogs, and she has respect from them aswell. When she is sleeping, they will leave her alone. Anyone else a cat lover? |

| Oh, I wish I were - really I do. Cats just don't know how to treat people.
They seem to insist that we assume the role of servant. Mmmmm, just can't bring myself to accept their view of the world.
Uh, glad you like 'em though.
Dogs? Now, they got the whole role thing right. |

| I love my cats just as much as my dogs. I've got three cats. They are two tabby's Kitty and Pooter and one (that is my baby) who is all white with blue eyes named Mr. O'Malley. |

| I love cats, and would have a couple, but dh hates them.
I've seen some cats that have been trained to do some pretty cool things. |

| Not a cat fan. I have to say that I really don't like cats - or maybe they don't like me? I'm allergic to them, so that's no fun. Also, I've been scratched by cats a lot, so I'm sort of scared of them sometimes. Some cats are really sweet, but I've met many that were really crazy and like to would jump or paw at me unexpectedly. Kittens are super cute though! |

| Yep, I want a feline that will rip up my furniture, stink up my house and generally treat me like a moron.
I suppose they're cute in their own, "God made me special" kind of way.
Slobbery, common man muts are a much better personal companion. Now, I won't say anything bad about a cat when I visit a home, but I also won't fall prey to a contented purr that invites me to satisfy some inner need kitty need to have me provide personal grooming.
I'm sure there are probably some really nice cats out there - I just never met them.
If you have a cool cat - woo hoo. I probably still don't want to meet them.
Hey, don't paya attention to me - I love dogs. Wait - that's what this forum is for - right? |

| Cats are snobs? Well, I have to agree with Benji. I think cats are kinda snobby. There are some nice ones though. I took care of my friends cats once. One of them liked to sit on my face... yeah. The other one would act nice then turn around and scratch me in the face. The third cat liked to poop everywhere. Once she got it all over the wall and herself. How? I don't know.... |

Julie, you made my morning. I imagine all cats are closet poopers. |

Cats are very intelligent, look at how they generally get exactly what it is they want. Dogs on the other hand, they pretty much just accept whats given to them. Cats can also be trained to do cool things, it just isn't nearly as easy as training a dog. For me anyway... lol. |

| I have one cat. A 3.5-year-old moggie named Mahri. She thinks she's a dog... She fetches, chases her tail, hogs the dog beds, etc. lmao... |

| I have a cat and I love him more than anything. He doesn't really act like a cat though. He acts more like a little puppy. He has little toys that he chews on and plays with. Him and Daisy (the dog) don't really get along too well though. When he was a baby and I brought him home, out of the box on the side of the road, my boyfriend didn't want him. He wanted a dog. After a day, he decided that Pecker (it's a long and funny story, but that's my cat's name) was his buddy and he wanted to keep him inside, not out because something might eat him. So they get on the floor and roll around like 2 little kids playing. It's real funny. |

| No cats here, although I could use a barn cat to control the mice out there. Jake is highly allergic; he has gone into anaphylactic shock once. When we have a lot of cats in the clinic in one day I always even change clothes before i go home, or he is sneezing like crazy. |

| I have three cats, and they don't rip up the furniture or stink up the place. If a cat stinks up the place, it's because the owner didn't clean up after it. If you let your dog poop and pee in the house and never cleaned it up, it wouldn't exactly smell like roses, either. |

| I once heard a joke that went something like this.
A Day in the Life of a Dog
Morning, ohboyohboy! My favorite!
My people, ohboyohboy, my favorite!
Breakfast, ohboyohboy, my favorite!
Sleeping, ohboyohboy, my favorite!
My kids, ohboyohboy, my favorite!
A walk! Ohboyohboy, my favorite!
Dinner! ohboyohboy, my favorite!
Sleeping, ohboyohboy, my favorite! A Day in the Life of a Cat
This is day 247 since my capture...
I think it is very true. Cats are more intelligent than dogs, but they are more independent and more cynical. My baby kitten, however, is the sweetest, cutest little thing you've ever seen. She's asleep in my lap right now and is literally a bundle of joy.
I love cats. Dogs are ok, but cats just seem so much more intelligent. And you CAN train cats like dogs. My cat Precious sits, stays, and jumps just like a dog.
So meh. If you don't like cats, you've never had one, or never been around enough. |
