| Guinea Pigs!!! Does anyone else have Guinea Pigs? I have 2 young Boars Chewie and Charlie. Chewie is a 7mth old chocolate aby and Charlie is a 1yr old tricolored mixed. They have a 2x6 C&C cage with a 2X2 loft. They are so smart, and they love to nibble the toes of unsuspected Dogs, Cats, and people. They favorite veggies include BellPepper and Carrots. One of their favorite pastimes is sneeking up on Belle my rottie mix when she laying on the floor then either play with her tail or nibble on a nail then as soon as she turns to look they run, then as soon as she falls back asleep they sneek up on her again. They also do this to the cats but the cats always hear or see them and run away. Here are some pics of my baby boys ^_^!

| Re: Guinea Pigs!!! Oh, I am SOOOO jealous of the cages you guys have.
I have a simple petstore bought one. Its like....5'x2'? It was the biggest one I could find.
The piggies are so cute. I love Abys. I had an Aby, but she died a couple of years ago. Now I own a fat rescued piggy.
Here is Lucy:
Now for all of you Guinea Pig savvy people out there....what is the best way to care for a Guinea Pig? After Chum died, I learned a bit more about Cavy care, but I still don't feel like I'm doing a very good job.
And also, how can you tell if the Guinea pig is too fat? Lucy is a chubby thing, and I'm afraid she is eating to much. And yet, she doesn't get a lot of food. A handful of pellets along with some Timothy hay at night. And then every couple of days she gets some fresh veggies and grass. |

| Re: Guinea Pigs!!! Awww! They have a couch XD
And I can't help but say that is one cool cage set up there.
They bring back old memories from when I was a kid, I had two "weeps", lots of great fun they were. |

| Re: Guinea Pigs!!! Its really easy to clean, I only have to do it about every 10 days because of the size. I sweep up the shaving with a dustpan and put them into a trashbag then spray the bottom down with a vinigar mix and put the shaving back in, it only takes about a half an hour.
It is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD!!!! to keep a Guinea Pig ina Plastic tub!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They can KILL THEM!!!!! A guinea pig requires 7.5 square feet of living space!!!! go to www.guineapigcages.com to learn how to PROPERLY cage a guinea pig!!! Also her nails are too long and need to be cut before they grow into her feet!
